Print at actual size
"Fit to page" can resize the sheet, and then the lower rows drift off their cards. The PDF opens at 100%; keep it there.
Thanksgiving · Avery® 5011 and 5302
List your guests, pick a maple leaf, a pumpkin, an acorn or a wheat sheaf in rust, gold or another fall ink, choose 5011 place cards or 5302 tent cards, and download a PDF with each name on both sides of its card, ready to fold.
Tent cards for the buffet, too
Do it here
Paste the cells with their header row, or type one name a line. First and last names join on one line, and a Seat or Table column prints under each name.
Worked example
Two name columns become one line, the seat goes under it, and the cards come out in last-name order.
| Row | First Name | Last Name | Seat |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | Maya | Chen | 1 |
| 3 | Jordan | Ellis | 2 |
| 4 | Sam | Okafor | 3 |
| 7 | Bea | Lindqvist | 6 |
A spreadsheet with First Name, Last Name and a Seat or Table column works as it is. Or type one name a line.
A maple leaf, a pumpkin, an acorn or a wheat sheaf, in black, rust, gold, cranberry or evergreen. See them on a card.
5011 for six place cards a sheet, 5302 for four bigger tent cards. Print at 100% (Actual size).
Fold each card along its score with the print outside, and stand one at each seat. The cards tear apart along the perforations.
Sizes from Avery's own template files. One side of the sheet prints, and the fold shows the name on both sides of the card.
| Sheet | Card size | Per sheet | Same layout | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Avery® 5011 | 1-7/16 × 3-3/4 in | 6 | 5012 · 16109 · 80017 +2 | Place cards for every seat, 6 to a sheet: a name, a seat and a small design. |
| Avery® 5302 | 2 × 3-1/2 in | 4 | 3328 · 5812 · 5913 +1 | Taller tent cards: a larger name, room for a second line, or a dish on the buffet. |
Drawn for the season
A maple leaf, a pumpkin, an acorn or a wheat sheaf, in simple line art, beside each name on both sides of the card. The inks: black, rust, gold, cranberry or evergreen, each dark enough to read across the table.
Not just names
Type one dish a line in the box above and pick 5302: each dish gets a tent card that reads from both sides of the table. For a second line, such as “Gluten-free”, add it in the full editor.
"Fit to page" can resize the sheet, and then the lower rows drift off their cards. The PDF opens at 100%; keep it there.
Printers differ: some print on the side facing up in the tray, others on the side facing down. Mark an X on a plain sheet, print once and look before you load the card sheets.
Hold a plain-paper print over a 5011 sheet against a window. If it sits off, calibrate once and save the correction for that printer.
Yes, with no account and no watermark. You need card sheets with the 5011 or 5302 layout and your own printer; the PDF is made on this page.
Not a photo or a picture of your own. The designs are the four drawn for this site, a maple leaf, a pumpkin, an acorn or a wheat sheaf; the eight winter ones are on the Christmas place cards page.
Rust, a deep orange-brown, and gold are the season's own; cranberry and evergreen suit the table too. Each is dark enough to read at a glance, and black always works.
Yes: type one dish a line and pick 5302. Each dish gets a tent card that reads from both sides. Buffet cards.
Add a Table or Seat column to your list. When every cell in it is a number, each card prints “Table 2” or “Seat 5” under the name. When some cells are words, such as “Kids' table”, every cell prints as it is: write “Table 4” in full beside them.
Thursday, November 26, 2026. Print a test sheet on plain paper a few days before, then the cards, so a jam costs a sheet and not the evening.
No. It's read in your browser, the PDF is made there, and nothing is uploaded, stored or put in the page address.
The editor takes the whole list: a card for each guest, the table or seat under the name, the back blank if you like, and the guests who can't come left out.
